Recovery & Recycling
We currently own and operate two Materials Recycling Facilities (MRF) that recover over 90% of valuable material for re-use.
Both of these facilities use state of the art technology to weigh, sort, segregate, granulate and bale materials. This enables valuable waste materials to be diverted from landfill and re-used in the market place; for example, waste plastic barrels or containers are shredded, granulated and remoulded into garden furniture.
The Grangemouth MRF is dedicated to recovering household and commercial waste materials including paper, plastics, aluminium and cardboard. Our MRF at Carron recovers construction and demolition type waste materials including timber, brick, soil, scrap metal, wood, plastics and cardboard.
Residual non-hazardous waste materials that cannot be re-used are safely disposed of at a full licensed and highly regulated landfill site.
