Lime Stabilization

Lime stabilisation is a very useful, cost effective and environmentally friendly way of eliminating human pathogens and micro-biological content, such as E.coli and salmonella, from sludge material. Material resulting from the lime stabilisation process is recognised by the Safe Sludge Matrix as being an ‘enhanced product' allowing it to be recycled to land as an agricultural fertiliser.

We can provide sludge liming solutions to customers on a long or short term contract. This can be carried out either as a stand alone service or with a centrifuge or belt press dewatering unit, as part of a complete sludge treatment solution.

As with all Oran ES services, every project is carried out by fully trained operators who comply with HACCP regulation.

Sludge that has undergone the lime stabilisation process is recognised by the Safe Sludge Matrix as being an ‘enhanced product'.  This product can then be beneficially recycled to land, as an agricultural fertiliser.
